I can see Ethan Bear and Samuel Poulin being claimed.
Bear has $2.75M in salary, only a couple clubs could handle that now, and they might think it better to play their kids.
Would maybe the Jackets take him to get to the Salary Floor?
Poulin based upon draft pedigree? Has play hasn’t done anything to justify a claim
Also – Mike Sullivan is still the HC of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and although they already have too many forwards, you can’t rule out HCMS wanting to claim Jansen Harkins because reasons
They were given plenty of time to do that. Why waste a roster spot on a tweener when you can get a bad contract + a good sweetener or an everyday NHLer to fulfill the cap?
@rdiddy CBJ got a exception so they don’t have to immediately get to the cap floor. They likely can get something much better with that money than Bear, especially with the extra time they’ve been granted.

Waiving Sam Poulin after years of him doing nothing was much better than adding a rental to our core while the window was still wide open.
Can’t empty the farm, after all.
