It just might be that the persistent refusal of a bunch of people to wrap their heads around the fact that a guy who’s been a mediocre goalie for five full seasons might just be a mediocre goalie — instead of coming up with excuse after excuse, as if no goalie in history’s ever played well for a bad team before — is the weirdest fallacy in hockey.
I know Jackson said he didn’t want to be the GM. But he did take a capped out Cup team and handed it to the worst Cap GM in the history of Hockey as Josh pointed out. I mean he could have done better going down to the local Home Depot and hired a guy hanging around the parking lot. This is like hiring John Dillinger to be a bank guard. Bad Choice.
