Bigger deals include the New York Islanders’ twin seven-year deals for Scott Mayfield and Pierre Engvall, as well as a pricey two-year pact between the Carolina Hurricanes and Dmitry Orlov.

Columbus currently has about 27 players that could be in the lineup on any given night, I like what they have done this summer thus far, If they aren’t decimated by injuries again they could really make some noise, I guess the only unknown is Mike Babcock behind the bench. Columbus to me is very intriguing right now.

I like what Carolina has done so far, but if these moves lead to Pesce being shipped out, maybe not so much. And with the anticipated return of DeAngelo to the Canes, it would appear Pesce will be moved.

Hopefully it will be Skjei instead. Pesce is tough to replace and Orlov is LH like Skjei so he could step right into his spot next to Pesce.
