Inside Out
Great move by Detroit to get a great goalie prospect.
amk1920
Ken Holland lol. Oilers so desperate for a goalie and pass on Wallstedt who no one on earth thought would slip this far

Wallstadt won’t be ready for 4 years and they have 3 guys in the system already. They did not need another goalie prospect.

I think the guy they got might ultimately. end up the steal of the draft .
Xavier is a sniper, twitchy, athletic and makes a lot of highlight plays.
I really wanted my Rangers to take him.

I heard he’s more of a complimentary player, which as long as he plays with McD or Drai he’ll be fine. But I’m glad to hear there’s some hype that he’s a potential steal.

Sure but the Oilers didn’t really need more centers lol. Should probably be trading centers for defence and goaltending tbh.

Immediately they need help in goal and on d, in the system they have plenty there. Hence why they drafted for an area of need in their system and added an upper tier fw.
Murphy NFLD
Funny how both trades were for goalkeepers

I wonder if anybody has ever done a deep dive on the success rate of trading up or down in the draft. I feel like I’d always prefer to move down and take that extra lottery ticket for the most part, especially if it’s only a couple of spots.

Yea id tend to agree with you. If its only a few spots teams prob have an idea who will be taken aswell
