Yesterday our Zach Leach profiled CHL undrafted free agent Justin Brazeau, and today his name popped up in the latest edition of Insider Trading. Darren Dreger reports that several teams have already shown interest in the 6’6″ forward, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, Nashville Predators, St. Louis Blues, Vegas Golden Knights and Columbus Blue Jackets. Dreger notes that while teams would like to sign Brazeau to an AHL contract, he’s looking for an NHL entry-level deal after his outstanding performance this season.
Brazeau, 21, has dominated as part of a solid North Bay Battalion squad, scoring 61 goals and 113 points in 68 games. They’ll take on the Niagara IceDogs in a first round playoff matchup starting on Thursday evening, but are heavy underdogs. That means Brazeau’s season could be over relatively soon, giving him even more time to consider the offers from several squads.

He would look awesome in black and gold (the Bruins variety, not the Pens).
jdgoat
Would he be eligible for the expansion draft of he’s on an NHL deal?

JD … your the expert on contracts or do you need more help on this one too. Do your homework. Or better yet buy the sports pak from Rogers and watch some real teams!

What do you possibly gain by posting that comment? Just ignore my posts if you don’t know. Or better yet, ignore my posts as a rule. I don’t really see what you are accomplishing.

We all gain by you becoming more educated on the sport. You could also take your own advice and ignore me. I’ve got you rattles I’m inside your head just like the leafs are inside of yours too.

Potentially could be a fit for the Leafs some size to go with skill in junior. See if it translates to the NHL. Boston doesn’t need more players with size.

I think he’d look great in the Pens variety. Pens could use some size on the wing
Marner#16
Bap potentially but they just got big Nick from Florida a little while ago. Shoulda kept Reaves to protect Sid the whiner Crosby.

Lotta chirping from a dude who’s team hasn’t won a cup in 51 years, soon to be 52. Last I saw the Bruins bounced the leafs out of the playoffs last year, so there goes the whole leafs in people’s heads. Defense was their issue last year and rather than spend on some D they sign Tavares… that’s a smart investment. They’ll be lucky to last 6 games against the Bruins

Would you happen to be JD goat or a friend of his one will only guess. A lot of bitterness from someone I’ve never talked to. That’s likely a good point they way they have been playing totally they won’t win the Cup this year. Unless by some magic wand turns them into a totally different team. Toronto is only going to go as far as Anderson holds up. Boston totally is in the Leafs heads I’m not denying that just like Pittsburgh was in Washington …. and so on in most major sports. It sure is Polak should have been brought back. Gardiner being out right now is hurting Leafs big time as painful as it is for me to admit it. Dubas totally dropped the ball on signing Nylander should have moved him. This strapped the ability to add anyone other then Muzzin at the trade deadline. Which obviously other teams loaded up. I’ve never been on the Tavares or Matthews wagon not my type of players. 6 I think your a bit delirious I’d say they would be lucky to not get swept !

No, I just jump in when I choose. They’ve played four times this season and the Bruins are 3-1-0 against the Maple Leafs and beat them last season in the playoffs. I find it hard to believe they’re in the Bruins head especially when the Bruins beat them missing a few of their star players. But you can believe what you want if it helps you sleep at night
