In NHL free agency, July 1st reigns supreme. Hundreds of millions of dollars were given out on Sunday, while teams raced and scrabbled their way to an improved roster. We saw long-term deals to aging scorers, and huge extensions to lock up superstars before they even get a sniff of the open market.
