There were some impressive performances last night in the hockey world, as Auston Matthews scored a preseason hat trick while the New Jersey Devils split squad dropped eight on the Ottawa Senators. Late last night the Vegas Golden Knights released some more cuts, which is what we’ll start with here. Make sure you keep refreshing throughout the day to find out the latest names sent packing.

Wilkes-Barre’s roster is set.
Steve Skorupski
Stick to baseball, sir. But wait! You don’t know much about that sport either as evidenced by your comments.
66TheNumberOfTheBest
Stick to the 7th grade, son.
Steve Skorupski
Son? I guarantee that I am a bit older than you are. I played minor league pro hockey for many years & know a little about the sport. Your comments are ridiculous & you know very little about this sport & know little more about baseball. Everyone out there is very familiar with you & puts you in the same category as Jimmertee, Cousin Ralph & several other winners. You are at the end of the line if you don’t change the way that you approach people on here. Good luck to ya, son!

Being the expert you are pretending to be, you must have forgotten the countless number of professional athletes, as well as coaches and managers that have shown they also lack knowledge the the sport they are paid to take part in.
The last time I checked being a fan of any team in any sport, is also being part of a vast group of people that have so many diverging opinions, you could spend several lifetimes counting them. Having those different opinions is part of what makes being a fan great.
All he said was “Wilkes-Barre’s roster is set.” Sure their roster might be tweaked between now and their season opener, but unless you are a psychic, not even you can state for a fact whether it will or wont.
Instead of spending half your time putting others down, stick to what being a fan is about. That’s having YOUR OWN opinion, and either agreeing or disagreeing with someone else, who’s opinion differs from you. No two fans are in perfect alignment when it comes to their opinions.
I respectfully suggest that you give being a “fan” a try, and do like many other fans do, and that’s offer up and share your opinions, work to make discussions better, meaningful and hopefully thought provoking, while giving other fans the same respect you want to be given you.
No fan is perfect, no fan is all knowing, no fan has all the answers, no fan should be bullied into not sharing theirs…
Steve Skorupski
Hey, Bro. You do not know this guy like so many others do. I respect a “true” fan & totally agree with them because as you have stated, every one of them is entitled to their opinion. That is what makes this so much fun. In terms of Tolls? Go back & read what he has posted, especially on the MLBR to see how he responds to “fans” who disagree with his opinion or what he has to say. I do not need to say anything more.

I’m sorry if you misunderstood who I was posting my reply to, but I wasn’t talking to whoever forwhom….tolls… is, I replied to you. While you may very well 100% dead on as to how well or uninformed this guy is, all I could see was subtle bullying. Personally, when I read his comment about Wilkes-Barre, I chuckled, since most visitors here would care about certain lower level rosters, unless they come from the same area.
Even after reading a few of his posts, I can’t disagree with your comment, but the world has enough going on that as fans, we need to be less antagonistic, and be more user-friendly, (Webster needs to come up with a better term or word). Thanks to places like Twitter (my favorite place to get sports and other updates) people have become less tolerant.
I rarely post on here or MLBTR, but I try to read all comments, and prefer to not post, since I’ve been known to suffer from foot in mouth disease. Add to that, I suffer from dyslexia, it takes me way too long to reply to posts. As I’m sure you’ll agree, life is an ongoing learning experience, and we need to be “understanding” towards the less educated, who spend their time daydreaming that paying attention in class.
I was gonna check your posts too, but then thought, why bother, from the followups you’ve posted here, you’re not a fool and have a smattering of knowledge that you share with others, which is always a good thing.
Have a good one, and keep on posting. We all need more education… After all, none of us are perfect, even though as I age I am getting closer to being so…. wink, wink, nudge, nudge LOL
Steve Skorupski
Appreciate it, Bro. You are right on in so many ways! I do not know much about dyslexia, except that it is difficult to deal with & Ozzie Osbourne has it. It is always outstanding to talk good sense with another well informed hockey fan. I played for a team years in the lower minor league, so I do know a little bit of how a hockey team operates from the front office down to the players. So, if you ever want to talk hockey, let me know. If you have a question, ask & I will try to answer it if I can. To me, hockey at any level is the best sport in the world.
